Boheme is housed in a unique building with a history that spans centuries. Originally built by the Venetians, it once formed part of the monastic complex of the Monastery of Saint Francis. In our courtyard, the beautiful plane tree has stood for over 400 years, a living witness to the passage of time.
Over the decades, the building has lived many lives: from hosting the very first Nectar soft drink factory in Chania, to becoming home to beloved restaurants and bars such as Idaion Andron, Magemenos Avlos, and Suki Yaki. Its roof was later constructed using authentic German railway tracks from the interwar period, adding yet another layer of character to its story.
Today, Boheme carries this rich past into the present, blending history, art, and hospitality into a warm and vibrant experience in the heart of Chania’s Old Town.
